We might be a little late to the 35mm handlebar party, but our new bars should prove to be worth the wait.
Investigation into existing 35mm bars showed that most people found them uncomfortably stiff and we knew we had to make something better.
After extensive research, testing and even development of a new manufacturing process we’ve produced a bar that even surpassed the compliance of our existing 31.8mm bar without compromising strength.
It’s been designed for use as an All Mountain bar, but in tests we’ve found that its strength surpasses many DH bars

Carbon Handlebars
For many years it’s been our dream to produce handlebars.
We initially looked at producing aluminium bars and went through a long design and testing process, but realised the only way to produce them in aluminium would be to use Far East manufacturing.
Not really the Hope way!

We then began looking at carbon fibre production and quickly realised that this method could enable handlebar manufacture to remain in Barnoldswick.
With the development of the HB.211 frame giving vital carbon production experience a new facility has been built at our Barnoldswick site.
The key design feature on the Carbon handlebars is a wider bulbous area around the centre of the bars.
Usually this diameter is restricted to the stem clamp area, but by keeping this diameter around all the bends, and only reducing the size in the lever clamp area a significantly stronger bar can be produced.

Hope's carbon bars will be offered in 31.8mm at 780 mm width in 20 mm rise. All Mountain/XC
or 35.0mm at 800 width and 20mm rise for All mountain/DH
